1Do you pay for car rental before or after?
The rental charges are paid before the vehicle can be collected
2How much is the security deposit on a rental car?
A refundable security deposit of $250 usd is required for small cars, economy cars and midrange cars, but $300 usd is required for luxury cars
3What do I need to rent a car?
You will need Valid Driver’s License which has been held for at least 2 years, valid passport and proof of residence
4Can I extend the rental period while renting?
Yes. An extension of rental can only be authorized by Diaspora Car Hire. The renter must notify Diaspora Car Hire in advance and obtain the agreement of extension in person
5I would like to rent a car for a period of one month or more. Are there any special discount plans?
Yes. If you rent the car for 21 days or more
General Questions
1Can I pick up and return a car out of business hours?
Yes. You might have to pay an extra charge
2What should I do if I cannot fill up the tank with fuel before returning the car?
The amount will be deducted from the security deposit
3What procedure should I go through when picking up a car?
When you pick a car up, you are required to sign a contract. Please show your driving license, passport, etc when signing it. Please confirm the details of the rental, sign your name and pay an estimated amount. After that, check the vehicle with a member of staff. If anything is unclear, please do not hesitate to let us know.
4Can I drop a car off to a different office from where I rent?
Yes. Airport pickup or drop-off is available for $15 each.
5What happens in the event of an accident?
The Renter must report to Diaspora Car Hire and the nearest police station immediately. The Renter must also obtain a police report with the number and the name of the police officer.
